EBC SETUP
EBC (Electronic Boost Control) SETUP
See Boost Solenoid Installation for information on
connecting your boost control solenoid.
EBC provides the ability to use either fixed duty or boost by gear boost control with either low
or high boost settings. Boost duty is initialized to Initial Duty and is then controlled
when Activation RPM and Activation Load have been reached.
- PWM Frequency - Set this to the operating frequency of your boost control solenoid.
The default frequency is for a MAC 35A-AAA-DDBA-1BA solenoid valve.
- Activation RPM - Set this to the RPM where boost control is to be activated.
- Activation Load - Set this to the load where boost control is to be activated.
- Initial Duty - This is the duty at startup. Boost duty is held at this value
until both Activation RPM and Activation Load are reached. This can be used
to control spool-up rate.
- Enable Boost Control - Enables boost control on the stock AIV output (or stock
boost solenoid output for GTiR SR20DET ECUs).
- Enable Boost By Gear - Enables BOOST BY GEAR. If not set, FIXED DUTY is used.
FIXED DUTY
- Low Boost - Set this to the desired fixed low boost duty.
- High Boost - Set this to the desired fixed high boost duty.
HIGH BOOST SETUP
- Input - Select the input to use for switching between high and low boost duty. If
NONE selected, the low boost duty settings are used.
BOOST BY GEAR
LOW BOOST BY GEAR DUTY TABLE
- LOW BOOST BY GEAR DUTY TABLE - This table sets the low boost by gear duty for each
gear, based on RPM. The RPM scale can be edited. With transmission in neutral, the 1st gear table
is used.
HIGH BOOST BY GEAR DUTY TABLE
- HIGH BOOST BY GEAR DUTY TABLE - This table sets the high boost by gear duty for each
gear, based on RPM. The RPM scale can be edited. With transmission in neutral, the 1st gear table
is used.
IAT DUTY COMP
IAT DUTY COMPENSATION TABLE
- IAT DUTY COMPENSATION TABLE - Values from this table are added to the current boost
duty based on DENSITY CORRECTED IAT. Note that
values can be negative to reduce, or positive to increase, the current duty.
[-] OVER BOOST
BOOST CUT
Boost cut, or overboost, provides a means to limit boost based on ECT, to keep boost lower
until the engine is fully warmed up, and in case of boost control solenoid failure. This is
a hard limiter that cuts all injectors (and spark plugs if enabled).
MAF OVERBOOST LIMIT TABLE
- MAF OVERBOOST LIMIT TABLE - This table limits boost while current load source is MAF.
MAP OVERBOOST LIMIT TABLE
- MAP OVERBOOST LIMIT TABLE - This table limits boost while current load source is MAP.
OVERBOOST PARAMETERS
- MAF LOAD HYSTERESIS - Once the limiter is active, MAF load must fall this amount in order
to remove the limiter.
- MAP LOAD HYSTERESIS - Once the limiter is active, MAP load must fall this amount in order
to remove the limiter.
- TIMER - Engine load must be above the current limit for this amount of time to activate the
limiter. This is to allow for short boost spikes that may be above the limit specified in the tables.
